Into/Intermediate Classroom Training

Classroom training is a two day in person class designed to expand the understanding of the IMPLAN system and its uses. The workshop emphasizes using the tools and procedures of IMPLAN® V3 to evaluate the local economic impacts of projects. The fundamentals of IMPLAN's social accounting systems and the development of multiplier models for local economies are also included. In addition, a survey of common uses of IMPLAN by governments, academia and consultancies for issue and project analyses, enterprise-wide monitoring systems and program evaluations is provided. Presentations include slide shows, tutorials and case study examples, along with classroom lecture. Classroom time is spent using IMPLAN economic impact data and software as well as interpreting and understanding results.

After the training the user should be able to perform economic impact studies with IMPLAN and understand the models results, as well as, be aware of potential issues that might arise. Different types of modeling and the different strategies used in more complex impact analysis are reviewed. Users will also learn about the Multi-Regional Input Output modeling with IMPLAN® V3.

Training is offered at many locations over the U.S., click here to view currently available training workshops.
